HEAVY METALS IN CHOCOLATE
Hershey sued over chocolate containing heavy metals. Consumer Reports unveiled scientific testing of 28 dark chocolate bars for lead & cadmium. All 28 contained the heavy metals, 23 including chocolate from Dove, Godiva, Lindt and Trader Joe’s contained potentially harmful levels of lead, cadmium or both for people who eat one ounce of chocolate a day. Exposure to Lead is known to cause anemia, weakness, and kidney and brain damage, even death. It can cross the placental barrier & expose an unborn child & damage a developing baby’s nervous system. Exposure to Cadmium is known to cause damage to lungs and can cause death.
